College football comes to UB Stadium Saturday when the Northern Illinois Huskies visit the Buffalo Bulls.

The Northern Illinois Huskies go on the road searching for back to back wins with a week seven stop at the Buffalo Bulls. Northern Illinois handled business in a 24-3 victory versus the visiting Kent State Golden Flashes with the defensive side of the football standing out. The Huskies mustered a 266-131 yardage advantage but gave the ball away three times while forcing four turnovers which hurt the Golden Flashes the most. NIU did the most damage through the air with quarterback Marcus Childers connecting on 13-21 for 114 yards and three touchdowns and an interception while Childers was tops in the rushing game with 65 yards on 18 carries. Jordan Huff added another 58 yards on 13 touches and caught a short scoring pass  while receiver Shane Wimann was the most explosive of the Huskies with four catches for 53 yards and a touchdown.

USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bulls are shooting for their 4th win of the season when the Northern Illinois Huskies come a calling Saturday. Buffalo saw their three game winning streak end in a seven overtime 71-68 loss to the visiting Western Michigan Broncos in week six as a touchdown underdog. This turned out to be a score fest with the Bulls gaining 683 yards and allowing 645 yards with both squads committing two turnovers.  UB totaled less then 90 yards on the ground so this was all quarterback Drew Anderson and the passing game. Anderson connected on 35-61 for 597 yards and seven touchdowns with Buffalo being as one dimensional as possible. Anthony Johnson paced the Bulls receiving corps with eleven receptions for 195 yards and two TD’s with Kamathi Holsey and KJ Osborn combining for 13 catches for 281 yards and four more scores.

Northern Illinois are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall and Northern Illinois are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. And under is 6-1 in Northern Illinois last 7 games on fieldturf. Buffalo are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games on fieldturf and Buffalo are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall and Buffalo are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win. Home team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings and favorite is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings and Northern Illinois are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

Buffalo is banged up at both quarterback and running back and Northern Illinois has some issues under center as well. I’m not really sure what to do with this to be honest…
