We have some Mountain West conference action on the gridiron on Saturday night, as the #19 San Diego State Aztecs host the Boise State Broncos in a college football matchup.

The Boise State Broncos will look to improve on their 3-2 record and 1-0 record in Mountain West play after a 24-7 inter-conference win over BYU in their last outing. Brett Rypien threw for 125 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 12 of 19 passing. San Diego State vs. Boise State - 10/14/17 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The #19 San Diego State Aztecs will look to remain unbeaten after improving to 6-0 this season and 2-0 in Mountain West play after a 41-10 dismantling of UNLV in their last outing. Christian Chapman racked up 172 yards on 14 of 24 passing, while Rashaad Penny led the way with 27 carries for 170 yards and a pair of rushing scores. Juwan Chapman logged 95 yards and a touchdown on his 10 carries, while Chase Jasmin and the aforementioned Chapman each logged a rushing score in the win. Mikah Holder far and away led the Aztecs’ receiving corps, with 9 catches for 144 yards in the victory. Defensively, the Aztecs held UNLV to just 283 yards of total offense while logging 3 sacks and dominating the time of possession battle, holding onto the rock for over 34 minutes in the victory.

Boise State is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 conference games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win. San Diego State is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 18-6-2 ATS in their last 26 conference matchups while the under is 16-7-1 in their last 24 home games. Boise State is 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.

Boise State is a step up from UNLV in my opinion, but that doesn’t change the fact that the Aztecs are the best team in the Mountain West conference, and that Boise State has had zero success against the spread in this matchup. The Broncos are too wildly inconsistent for me to back with any sort of confidence, especially against the best team in the conference, I think laying a touchdown is a gift of a line here, so I’ll gladly lay the points with the Aztecs here.
