The Temple Owls look for a conference victory here to get a game above a .500 record. The Temple Owls have won eight of their last nine home games. Logan Marchi is completing 53.9 percent of his passes for 1,302 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. Marchi has three touchdown passes and seven interceptions in his last three games. Isaiah Wright and Keith Kirkwood have combined for 607 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Adonis Jennings has 17 receptions. The Temple Owls ground game is averaging 100 yards per contest, and Ryquell Armstead leads the way with 246 yards on 77 carries. Defensively, Temple is allowing 26 points and 424.8 yards per game. Delvon Randall leads the Temple Owls with 45 tackles, Quincy Roche has five sacks and Mike Jones has one interception.
The Huskies are 6-22-1 ATS in their last 29 road games, 7-20 ATS in their last 27 conference games and 14-40-1 ATS in their last 55 games overall. The Owls are 6-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games and 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games overall. The Huskies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Temple, 1-10 ATS in their last 11 meetings and the under is 8-0 in the last 8 meetings.
Temple isn't nearly as good as teams have been in the past, but the Owls showed they're capable of playing at that level last week with a win over East Carolina. Marchi had one of his better games at quarterback and the defense allowed just 10 points to an offense that can move the football. UConn is just awful defensively, allowing a combined 119 points in its last two games and its yards per game allowed average is 128th in the country. Only Tulsa and East Carolina are allowing more yards per game than the Huskies. Temple has also outscored UConn 84-13 in the last three meetings. I have to side with Temple by double digits.
