Defensively, Central Florida is allowing 19.7 points and 348.3 yards per game. Pat Jasinski leads the UCF Knights with 57 tackles, Jamiyus Pittman has two sacks and Kyle Gibson has three interceptions.
The SMU Mustangs look to stay hot after winning four of their last five games. The SMU Mustangs have won six of their last nine home games. Ben Hicks is completing 60.1 percent of his passes for 2,305 yards, 19 touchdowns and six interceptions. Hicks has two or more touchdown passes in 10 of his last 11 games. The Knights are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 road games, 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 conference games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Mustangs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 conference games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games in November and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. The home team is 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings and the favorite is 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.
This feels like a lot of points to give a good SMU team that's been consistent overall and very good at home. The Mustangs don't have a bad loss yet this year and have the offense to hang around with the UCF Knights. Not to mention Central Florida did have its struggles last week, allowing Austin Peay to drop 33 points in its first three quarters. If the Governers could have success against this Knights defense on the road, I'm sure SMU can hold its own at home. I'll take a stab with the points and the home team.
