MAC college football features a matchup between the Buffalo Bulls and the Ball State Cardinals.
The 4-6 Buffalo Bulls look to stay in the running for a Bowl when the team takes the field at the Ball State Cardinals. Buffalo comes off of a 38-28 win versus the visiting Bowling Green Falcons as a touchdown favorite. Once UB took a 14-7 lead in the first, Bowling Green was playing catch up and didn’t have the horses as they were badly outgained 582-394. The Bulls forced three turnovers and bottled up the Falcons on the ground while surviving 294 passing yards from Jarret Doege.

Theo Anderson paced the Buffalo rushing attack with 133 yards on 22 touches including an eight yard score. Bulls quarterback Tyree Jackson shredded the Bowling Green secondary as he completed 23-37 for 408 yards and three touchdowns. Anthony Johnson was the Bulls top receiving option with eight receptions for 160 yards with TD’s of 23 yards and 69 yards.
The Ball State Cardinals aim for their third win of the season when the conference rival Buffalo Bulls come to town. Ball State is mired in a seven game slide following a 63-17 defeat at the Northern Illinois Huskies as a 29 point underdog. Northern Illinois held a 433-245 yardage advantage and returned a pair of blocked punts for scores while the Cardinals struggled to move the chains and stop anything NIU threw at them.
The Ball State quarterback duo of Jack Milas and Drew Pitt combined to connect on 19-30 with a touchdown and interception with Khalil Newton catching six passes for 80 yards. The Cardinals also needed more from the ground game but Caleb Huntley was the only runner of consequence with 70 yards on 22 carries.
Under is 4-0 in Buffalo last 4 Thursday games and under is 10-1 in Buffalo last 11 road games and Buffalo are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. Ball State are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and Ball State are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss of more than 20 points and Ball State are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. Underdog is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings and over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Ball State and over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.
There are some huge spreads being thrown around in the MAC right now and I hate chalk. I’m interested in seeing a total for this one but for now I’ll go with Buffalo and update…
