Down in South Carolina at Clemson Memorial Stadium on Saturday, the Citadel Bulldogs and the Clemson Tigers will be meeting up in college football play.
The Citadel comes into this one with a 5-5 record overall. The Bulldogs have lost five of their last seven games to Samford, Mercer, Wolford, West Carolina and Furman. In that Furman game, Citadel QB Jordan Black put up 223 yards and two TDs.

On the season, Black has 523 yards and six scores to his credit, while Dominique Allen is the top Citadel rusher with 621 yards and eight TDs on 124 attempts. Josh LeBlanc leads the Bulldogs receivers with 297 yards and two TDs on 16 catches.
Over on the Clemson side, they’re currently 9-1 on the season. Since their lone loss to Syracuse, the Tigers have beaten Georgia Tech, NC State and Florida State in succession. In that Seminoles game, Clemson QB Kelly Bryant put up a 20-of-30 line for 151 yards.
On the season, Bryant has 1924 yards with seven touchdowns and five INTs, and Travis Etienne leads the Tigers rushers with 617 yards and nine TDs from 80 carries. Deon Cain is the top Tigers receiver with 41 catches for 457 yards and four TDs.
The under is 4-0 in the Bulldogs’ last four versus a team with a winning record and they’re 0-4 ATS in their last four road games versus a team with a winning home record. The Citadel is also 1-5 ATS in their last six games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Clemson is 6-0 ATS in their last six non-conference games and the over is 4-0-1 in their last five games in November. The under is 4-0-1 in the Tigers’ last five home games.
In their last seven games, the Citadel has scored no more than 21 points, and they’ve given up 87 points over their last two games. As for Clemson, they’ve been taking care of business since that wake-up call against Syracuse, scoring 69 points over their last two games. This should be nothing short of a romp for Clemson and I think they may be able to cover, but 47 points is a lot to give. I'll take the Citadel.
