The Golden Panthers are 5-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Owls are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
FIU had their 3-game winning streak snapped after a surprising loss at home against Old Dominion, however, the Golden Panthers still have been one of the better C-USA teams this season led by their defense that is ranked 57th in scoring defense. FAU has had quite a season under first year head coach Lane Kiffin and has been outstanding on the offensive end throughout the season ranking 10th in college football in scoring offense. Florida Atlantic has won six straight and as I wasn’t too impressed by the FIU defense last week that struggled slowing down both the passing and running attack of Old Dominion, I’m taking Florida Atlantic to cover this spread at home.
