Down in Tallahassee at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday, the Delaware State Hornets and the Florida State Seminoles will be meeting up in college football action.
Delaware State comes into this game at 2-8 on the year. The Hornets are 2-2 in their last four games, however, with losses to NC Central and Savannah State sandwiched between wins over South Carolina State and Morgan State.

In that Morgan State game, Hornets QB Kennan Black had a nice outing with a 16-of-26 line for 234 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Nyfease West led the Delaware State rush with 19 carries for 110 yards, and Trey Gross came up with three big catches for 55 yards and two touchdowns.
Over on the Florida State side, they come in with a 3-6 record on the year. The Seminoles have lost three of their last four games to Louisville, Boston College and Clemson. In that Clemson game, Seminoles QB James Blackman put up 208 yards with one TD and one INT.
So far this year, Blackman has 1493 yards with nine TDs and eight picks, and Cam Akers is the top Florida State rusher on 735 yards and three touchdowns. Nyqwan Murray is the leading Florida State receiver with 510 yards and two TDs from 32 catches.
Delaware State is 0-4 ATS in their last four games after posting less than 170 yards passing in their previous game, and 0-5 ATS in their last five non-conference games. The Hornets are also 0-5 ATS in their last five road games.
Florida State is 0-7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall and 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven games on grass. The Seminoles are also 0-4-2 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss.
Delaware State has simply had a lot of issues getting their offense going this year; in their first five games, the Hornets scored no more than 16 points. The good news is that the Hornets put up 33 versus Morgan State and posted a nice comeback win. Florida State, meanwhile, has been choppy to say the least, putting up no more than 28 points in any game all year. Still, I think the Seminoles will take care of business here, as they vastly outclass the Hornets. That said, the lines I've seen for this game are crazy thick, so I'm going with Delaware State to cover.
