The Hawkeyes are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 bowl games, 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. The Eagles are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games, 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games and 8-0-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The under is 24-10-1 in Eagles last 35 games overall and the under is 5-1 in Hawkeyes last 6 non-conference games.
The Iowa Hawkeyes were hit and miss all season long and finished the season really shaky, which included a loss to Purdue at home. The Boston College Eagles have been on fire the last couple of months, which includes thumping Florida State and going toe-to-toe with a really good NC State team. These teams are a lot alike in that they rely on physical play, defense and want to win in the trenches. Points could be hard to come by here, but I'm leaning toward Boston College. I like consistency from teams, and it doesn't hurt that this game is in New York, where there should be a decent crowd advantage for the Eagles. Boston College has also been money against the number damn near all year. This is also a chance for Boston College to seperate itself a bit and prove its a team on the rise in the ACC. I'll take another underdog on Wednesday's card.
