The Colorado State Rams and the Arkansas Razorbacks face off on Saturday in week 2 college football action.
The Arkansas Razorbacks will be looking to build on a 55-20 rout of Eastern Illinois in their season opener on Saturday. The Colorado State Rams will still be looking for their first win of the season after falling to 0-2 with a 45-13 loss to rival Colorado in their last outing. K.J. Carta-Samuels threw for 176 yards and a touchdown on 18 of 33 passing with an interception as well while Marcus McElroy rushed for 61 yards on 14 carries. Olabisi Johnson and Preston Williams shared the team-high with 6 catches apiece, with Johnson leading the way with 82 receiving yards and a touchdown to Williams’ 49 yards. Defensively, V.J. Banks logged an interception and Arjay Jean recovered a fumble while Josh Watson led the Rams with 8 tackles in the losing effort.
Arkansas is 0-5-2 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and 4-9-2 ATS in their last 15 games overall while the over is 8-3 in their last 11 games overall. Colorado State is 0-9 ATS in their last 9 games overall and 0-8 ATS in their last 8 home games while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 games against a team with a winning record.
Laying points on the road can be tough, but the issue is that home field hasn’t helped Colorado State anyways as the Rams were routed by Colorado at home and Arkansas I feel is a better team that Colorado. I’d like to see more from the Hogs in terms of a ground game, but I think this is the game where Arkansas can fix that so I’ll lay the points as I see Arkansas winning this one by a couple of scores.
