In the Tulsa game, Owls QB Anthony Russo put up 112 yards and two picks, and Ryquell Armstead led the rush with 108 yards and a score. Randle Jones was the top Temple receiver with his two catches for 49 yards.
As for the Eagles, they’re sitting at 3-1 on the year. Boston College started things out with three wins against UMass 55-21, Holy Cross 62-14 and Wake Forest 41-34 but fell to Purdue 30-13 this past Saturday.
In the Purdue game, Boston College quarterback Anthony Brown put up 96 yards, one TD and four picks, with CJ Lewis leading the receivers on four catches for 65 yards. AJ Dillon was the leading rusher for BC with 19 carries for 59 yards.
The Owls are 11-4 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 on turf. Temple is 21-9 ATS in their last 30 overall and 39-18 ATS in their last 57 road games.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up loss and 8-0-1 ATS in their last nine on turf. Boston College is 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six in September.
Temple’s offense was somewhat unimpressive in their last game, but on the other side they got a good bit of pressure in passing situations. The Owls are better than their record indicates, as their two losses were valiant efforts against decent teams.
As for Boston College, their offense hit the wall in their last game, and they’ll need to have short memories if they’re going to bounce back here. All in all, I think Temple is more than capable of banging out a cover here, so I’ll take the Owls.
