The Florida State Seminoles will meet up with the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday from Hard Rock Stadium in college football activity.

Florida State heads into this one with a 3-2 record overall. After falling to Virginia Tech in the opener, the Seminoles took out Samford then fell to Syracuse before beating Northern Illinois and Louisville.

In the Cardinals game, Seminoles QB Deondre Francois put up 294 yards and four touchdowns, and Cam Akers led the rush on 42 yards from 17 carries. Leading the receivers was Nyqwan Murray’s 114 yards and two touchdowns.

Over on the Miami side, they’re sitting at 4-1 on the year. After falling to LSU in the opener, the Hurricanes have rattled off victories over Savannah State, Toledo, FIU and North Carolina.

In that UNC game, Miami QB N’Kosi Perry logged 125 yards with a TD and a pick, and Mike Harley logged most of those yards on his two grabs for 70. DeeJay Dallas led the ‘Canes rush with 114 yards and a score off 11 totes.

The Seminoles are 1-4-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. Florida State is 1-6-2 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 0-9-2 in their last 11 conference games.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are 1-4 ATS versus a team with a winning record and 1-7 ATS in their last eight in October. Miami is 2-5 ATS in their last seven on grass and 2-6 ATS in their last eight conference games.

Florida State’s two losses came against very solid teams in Virginia Tech and Syracuse. In those games, the Seminoles scored just 10 combined points, while allowing 54. Otherwise, FSU has been pretty clean aside from that scare against Louisville.

As for Miami, they’re coming in pretty confident after their 47-10 win over UNC. The big concern here is the run defense, as the ‘Canes were pretty uninspiring in that department last Saturday.

All things considered, I think the line here is thick enough for Florida State to get in, so I’ll take the Seminoles.
