The Georgia Bulldogs and the LSU Tigers meet in one of Saturday’s marquee matchups in SEC conference action from Tiger Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Georgia Bulldogs will look for another win to remain undefeated after a 41-13 win over Vanderbilt in their last outing. Jake Fromm has thrown for 1,200 yards, 12 touchdowns and 2 interceptions while Elijah Holyfield has rushed for 432 yards and 3 TDs and D’Andre Swift has 4 rushing scores for the Dawgs this season. Mecole Hardman and Riley Ridley each have 22 catches and 4 receiving TDs, with Hardman outgaining Ridley 335-262. As a team, Georgia is averaging 485.2 yards of total offense and 42.8 points per game this season while also sitting top-10 in total yardage against (283.2 jpg/7th in FBS) and scoring defense (13 ppg/2nd in FBS) this season.

The LSU Tigers will be looking to rebound from their first loss of the season coming in the form of a 27-19 loss to Florida in their last outing. Joe Burrow has thrown for 1,215 yards, 6 touchdowns and 2 picks on 53.9% passing this season while Nick Brossette has rushed for 576 yards and 8 TDs and Clyde Edwards-Helaire has racked up 330 rushing yards and 5 TDs this season. Justin Jefferson leads LSU’s receiving group with 21 catches for 345 yards and 2 scores on the year. As a team, LSU is averaging 392.5 yards of total offense and 31.3 points per game this season.
Georgia is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. LSU is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 conference games while the under is 9-3 in their last 12 games following a loss. The road team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
Well it happened, I backed LSU in what I thought was a winnable game and the line trapped me and Florida ended up with the win. LSU is a dangerous place to go on the road and win for any team, but it’s not like home field has mattered in this matchup as the road team has covered 3 of the last 4 meetings. Georgia also has what I feel is the better offense and since the defensive units cancel out in my opinion, I have to back Georgia on the road to stay unbeaten and send LSU to a 2nd straight defeat.
