The Army Black Knights take their option out west to battle the San Jose State Spartans in week seven college football.
The Army Black Knights went in to their bye week off of a surprisingly easy 42-13 rout of Buffalo as a touchdown road dog. Army won the yardage battle 372-255 and held the ball for 37+ minutes.

Black Knights quarterback Kelvin Hopkins Jr. connected on 4-5 for 91 yards and a touchdown with an interception while leading the ground game with 89 yards on 19 carries.
Neil Woolfolk and Connor Slomka gave Army a combined 110 rushing yards and a touchdown each on 27 carries while Jordan Asbury caught a 25 yard scoring pass. A key play for the Black Knights was an 80 yard return of a blocked field goal early in the game.
The San Jose State Spartans are still looking for their first win after a 43-30 loss to visiting Colorado State as a three point home dog. San Jose State scored 30 points in the third quarter to erase a 28-0 deficit but didn’t score again as the team was outgained 391-285.
Spartans quarterback Josh Love completed 17-40 for 232 yards and three touchdowns with a pair of interceptions including a pick six while losing 35 yards on six runs.
Tyler Nevens paced San Jose State on the ground with 73 yards on 20 carries including a trip to the end zone while Tre Hartley caught four passes for 96 yards and a pair of TD’s.
