The Marshall Thundering Herd will look for some consistency after alternating wins and losses in each of their last 5 games following a 42-20 win over Old Dominion in their last outing. Isaiah Green has thrown for 1,108 yards, 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 55.1% passing this season while Tyler King has rushed for 530 yards and 3 touchdowns while Anthony Anderson has 6 rushing TDs this season. Tyre Brady leads Marshall with 41 catches for 530 yards and 6 receiving scores this season. As a team, Marshall is averaging 403 yards of total offense and 28.8 points per game this season
FAU is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 conference games while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 road games. Marshall is 0-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 21-7 in their last 28 conference games. The road team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
I can understand why Marshall is the favorite at home, the issue for me is that between these two teams, home field hasn’t mattered as the road team has covered the spread in the last four meetings between the two. FAU doesn’t have the same kind of record like last season, but the Owls are still a solid team offensively, and match up well with the Herd. This is a game I think the Owls could win outright so I’ll take the points with FAU here.
