The Wyoming Cowboys and the Colorado State Rams will be matching up on the college football circuit Friday from Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium.
Wyoming comes into this one with a 2-6 record overall. The Cowboys managed wins over New Mexico State and Wofford this year, but otherwise have dropped games to Washington State, Missouri, Boise State, Hawaii, Fresno State and Utah State.

In the Utah State game, Wyoming QB Tyler Vander Waal put up just 38 yards with a pick, and Nico Evans led the rush on 25 carries, 133 yards and a score. Evans was also the top receiver for the Cowboys with two grabs for 40 yards.
Over on the Colorado State side, they’re sitting at 3-5 this season. The Rams have notched victories over Arkansas, San Jose State and New Mexico this year while falling to Hawaii, Colorado, Florida, Illinois State and Boise State.
In the Boise State game, Colorado State QB KJ Carta-Samuels put up 238 yards with two TDs and two picks, and Izzy Matthews logged 109 yards and a score to lead the rush. Preston Williams led the Rams receivers with nine grabs for 154 and a TD.
The Cowboys are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 in October and 7-2 ATS in their last nine following an ATS win. Wyoming is 2-5 ATS in their last seven Friday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Rams are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 on turf and 2-5 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up loss. Colorado State is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 conference games and 1-4 ATS versus a team with a losing record.
Wyoming has issues all across the board this year, but looking at their final results it’s pretty easy to see that they simply can’t score very well. Since putting up 29 against New Mexico state in the opener, the Cowboys have not reached 20 points in any game.
Colorado State has some major issues of their own, but should be able to keep the Cowboys in check here. I’m going Rams.
