The Texas A&M Aggies and the Auburn Tigers meet in week 10 SEC college football action from Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Texas A&M Aggies will look to rebound after having their 3 game winning streak snapped with a 28-13 loss to Mississippi State in their last outing. Kellen Mond has thrown for 2,032 yards, 11 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 59.6% passing while also rushing for 4 touchdowns as well. Trayveon Williams leads the Aggies in rushing with 824 yards and 8 touchdowns while Jace Sternberger leads A&M’s receiving corps with 31 catches for 509 yards and 6 touchdowns. Quartney Davis has 30 catches for 369 yards and 3 scores while Camron Buckley has 359 receiving yards as well this season. As a team, Texas A&M is averaging 462.5 yards of total offense and 29.9 points per game while also being tough against the run defensively, allowing the 5th-fewest rushing yards per game with 86.5 yards per contest this season.
The Auburn Tigers will look to build on their 31-16 win over Ole Miss in their last outing that pushed the Tigers to 5-3 this season. Jarrett Stidham has thrown for 1,714 yards, 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 60.4% passing while JaTarvious Whitlow has rushed for a team-high 626 yards and 4 touchdowns this season. Darius Slayton leads Auburn’s receiving corps with 332 receiving yards while Ryan Davis has a team-high 38 catches this season. As a team, Auburn is averaging 389.6 yards of total offense and 28.4 points per game this season.
Texas A&M is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 conference games. Auburn is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 conference games. The road team is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.
I won’t lie, I backed the Aggies against Mississippi State and that pick blew up square right in my face. Getting a low line with Auburn at home is tempting considering it’s one of the harder environments in college football to go on the road and win, but if we’re being honest, home field hasn’t really mattered as the road team has covered each of the last 6 meetings between the two sides, and the underdog has covered with the points in 4 of the last 5. I jus think this is a game that A&M can at least keep close, so I’ll take the points in this spot.
