The Ragin Cajuns were efficient through the air with Andre Nunez completing 11-15 for 148 yards and three touchdowns along with an interception while Levi Lewis hit on 6-6 for 65 yards and another touchdown.

Trey Ragas gave ULL a threat on the ground with 115 yards on 23 carries and caught three passes for 27 yards with a TD. Elijah Mitchell added 61 yards on 16 totes and Raymond Calais ripped of a 40 yard run as the Ragin’ Cajuns totaled 240 rushing yards. 

Ryheem Malone paced the UL Lafayette receiving corps with 91 yards and a score on six receptions with Ja’Marcus Bradley and Mitchell also catching scoring passes. Jacques Boudreaux led the Ragin’ Cajuns defense with 11 tackles (4 solo) and a sack.

The Appalachian State Mountaineers earned the honor of hosting the Sun Belt championship game after downing Troy 21-10 behind a 21-0 first half. Appalachian State totaled 314 yards with most of their success coming in the first 30 minutes while Troy was held to just 214 total yards and four turnovers.

Mountaineers quarterback Zac Thomas connected on 12-24 for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns and ran eleven times for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Darrynton Evans was the Mountaineers biggest threat with 108 rushing yards on 20 carries including a 58 yard run while Marcus Williams Jr. ran eleven times for another 58 yards.

Corey Sutton topped the ASU receiving corps with five receptions for 72 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Akeem Davis-Gaither made four tackles and ten assists for an airtight defense.
