The Wake Forest Demon Deacons look for a third straight win to get a game above a .500 record. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have won five of their last six home games. The Hokies are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 conference games and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games as a favorite. The Demon Deacons are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in October. The over is 5-1 in Hokies last 6 games overall. The over is 5-2 in Demon Deacons last 7 games overall. The Hokies are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
The Virginia Tech Hokies obviously have the better athletes and should be favored here, but they're also a team that's found themselves in a lot of shootouts this season and that defense isn't as scary as its been in years past. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are coming off back-to-back victories and we can't forget they went into NC State and went toe-to-toe with a ranked team. In fact, Wake Forest had a 64 percent win probability in that contest early in the fourth quarter. Wake Forest is not a pushover in this spot and has actually been the better defensive team of the two through four games.
I'll take my chances with Wake Forest at home and the free touchdown.
