The Miami Hurricanes and the Virginia Tech Hokies meet in ACC college football action from Blacksburg at Lane Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a rivalry game.

Mike Harley leads Miami’s receiving group with 36 grabs for 497 yards and 4 scores while Mark Pope has 333 receiving yards. Brevin Jordan, Dee Wiggins and Will Mallory each have 200+ receiving yards as well this season. Defensively, Bubba Bolden leads Miami’s unit with 40 total tackles including 31 solo tackles while Jared Harrison Hunte leads the ‘Canes with 3 sacks and Quincy Roche and Jaelan Phillips each have 2.5 sacks. Al Blades Jr. also has a pair of interceptions for Miami’s defense this season.
The Virginia Tech Hokies will look to bounce back from a 38-35 loss to Liberty last time out. Miami is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games against a team with a winning home record while the over is 5-2-1 in their last 8 conference games. Virginia Tech is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record. The favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams and the under is 11-5-1 in the last 17 meetings between these two.
This is a hard game to call as Miami is the better team in my opinion, but they’ve allowed at least 34 points in all three of their road games and Virginia Tech’s coming off of that upset loss to Liberty and they’re no prize on defense either, which is why I’m going to side with the over here. I think we could potentially be in store for another shootout here with both teams into the 40s and I’ll be on the over as a result.
