Army is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 games against the Sun Belt.
I get Army being favored at home, but I don’t agree with it. Army’s defensive numbers look good on the surface, but that’s because they’ve played a cupcake schedule and the two times they had to step up, the Black Knights got sat down by Cincinnati and most recently Tulane. The rest of their schedule? Three non-FBS teams and the trio of UTSA, Middle Tennessee and Louisiana-Monroe. Outside of UTSA, Middle Tennessee and ULM are a combined 2-14 this season. Georgia Southern’s done well in the Sun Belt this season with their two losses coming against Louisiana and Coastal Carolina, two ranked Sun Belt teams (when was the last time you could say that?) that are leading the two divisions in the conference. Both run the option, but Georgia Southern passes the ball much better, leaving their playbook a lot more wide open than Army’s as well. I think the wrong team is favored here, so I’ll take the points with Georgia Southern as a gift here.
