The North Carolina Tar Heels face off with the Texas A&M Aggies Friday in the college football’s Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

The Texas A&M Aggies are riding a seven-game winning streak and look for a third straight bowl victory. The Texas A&M Aggies have won four straight non-home games. Kellen Mond is completing 63.5 percent of his passes for 2,050 yards, 19 touchdowns and three interceptions. Mond has nine touchdown passes in his last three games. Jalen Wydermyer and Ainias Smith have combined for 941 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns while Chase Lane has 28 receptions. The Texas A&M Aggies ground game is averaging 202.8 yards per contest, and Isaiah Spiller leads the way with 986 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Texas A&M is allowing 21.1 points and 316.6 yards per game. Buddy Johnson leads the Texas A&M Aggies with 76 tackles, Bobby Brown III has 5.5 sacks and Leon O’Neal Jr. has two interceptions.

The North Carolina Tar Heels have won four of their last five games and look for their third bowl victory since the 2012 season. The North Carolina Tar Heels have won three of their last five non-home games. Sam Howell is completing 69.1 percent of his passes for 3,352 yards, 27 touchdowns and six interceptions. Howell has two or more touchdown passes in seven of his last 10 games. Dyami Brown and Dazz Newsome have combined for 1,715 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Javonte Williams has 25 receptions. The North Carolina Tar Heels ground game is averaging 249 yards per contest, and Michael Carter leads the way with 1,245 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, North Carolina is allowing 28.4 points and 395.8 yards per game. Chazz Surratt leads the North Carolina Tar Heels with 91 tackles, Tomon Fox has six sacks and Cameron Roseman-Sinclair has one interception.

The Aggies are 20-9-1 ATS in their last 30 games as a favorite and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Tar Heels are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win. The under is 9-4 in Aggies last 13 games overall. The over is 5-2 in Tar Heels last 7 games overall.

The Texas A&M Aggies are one of the more balanced teams in the country and each of their last six wins have been decided by double digits. The North Carolina Tar Heels can be shaky at times defensively, especially through the passing game, but they’re one of the best offensive teams in football, ranked fourth in total yards and seventh in points per game. Texas A&M should be favored, but we also have to remember the Aggies were snubbed from the playoffs, and we have to question just how motivated they’ll be for this contest. North Carolina can put up points with the best of them, and the Tar Heels are well familiar with this field given that they just smoked the Hurricanes on it.

UNC is being disrespected with this line. Give me the free touchdown.
