The Montana Grizzlies and Portland State Vikings face off on Saturday in Week 10 FCS showdown at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
The Portland State Vikings will be playing their first and last game of the spring season when they take the field on Saturday. Portland State opted out of the spring football season in terms of the Big Sky schedule but they still have this one game. This is a team that is loaded with a lot of talent including Alexander and Adams who were All-American’s last season. One issue for this team could be with the offensive line and if they want to win this game they are going to need the offensive line to be strong early or this game could be ugly early.
On the other side of this matchup is the Montana Grizzlies who have played only one game so far this spring against Central Washington on April 10th and that was a blowout victory. Montana is led by Camron Humphrey who finished the game throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns. This is going to be a bigger test going against a better defense but in this game it’s going to be about the offense running up the score again in this game. In the last game Montana had three different players who rushed for 45 yards and they are going to need it to be a balanced attack again in this game.
Montana is no doubt the better team, but I expect Portland State is going to find a way to keep this game close. Look for Portland State to find enough defensive success to cover this spread. Back Portland State against the spread.
