The LSU Tigers meet the McNeese Cowboys and Saturday in week 2 college football action at Tiger Stadium. The McNeese Cowboys look for a win after losing their opener to West Florida. The LSU Tigers need a win here after losing to UCLA last week.

The McNeese Cowboys have lost five of their last seven games overall. Cody Orgeron is completing 66 percent of his passes for 367 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Walker Wood and Josh Matthews have combined for 192 receiving yards and one touchdown while Mason Pierce has four receptions. The McNeese Cowboys ground game is averaging 123 yards per contest, and Stephon Huderson leads the way with 73 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, McNeese is allowing 42 points and 380 yards per game. Corione Harris leads the McNeese Cowboys with seven tackles, Isaiah Chambers has 0.5 tackles for loss and Colby Richardson has one interception.

The LSU Tigers have split their last 12 games overall. Max Johnson is completing 56.5 percent of his passes for 330 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Kayshon Boutte and Trey Palmer have combined for 195 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Jaray Jenkins has three receptions. The LSU Tigers ground game is averaging 49 yards per contest, and Tyrion Davis-Price leads the way with 31 yards on 13 carries. Defensively, LSU is allowing 38 points and 483 yards per game. Damone Clark leads the LSU Tigers with 14 tackles, Andre Anthony has one sack and Cordale Flott has one pass deflection.

The McNeese Cowboys just lost last week to West Florida. I don’t think we need to say much more after that. LSU had its struggles against UCLA, but this is a massive drop off in competition and it’s fair to say the Tigers have the edge at nearly every position. McNeese has no chance here. Thick line, but LSU should be able to blow the doors off here.
