The Nebraska Cornhuskers meet the Buffalo Bulls in week 2 college football action from Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Buffalo Bulls will look to pick up a big road win after emerging with a 69-7 rout of Wagner in their opening game. Kyle Vantrease threw for 231 yards and a touchdown while Matt Myers’ lone completion went for 26 yards and a score. Ron Cook Jr. led the Bulls with 14 carries for 94 rushing yards and a touchdown while Kevin Marks Jr. had 72 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Mike Washington added 65 rushing yards while Tajay Ahmed had 51 rushing yards with a touchdown and Dylan McDuffie had 27 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jake Molinich also had a rushing TD for the Bulls in the win. Quian Williams led Buffalo’s receiving group with 5 catches for 96 yards while Jovany Ruiz had 76 receiving yards with a touchdown and Marlyn Johnson had 26 receiving yards and a score with his lone grab. Defensively, Taylor Riggins led the Bulls with 6 total tackles as well as a pair of sacks while Daishon Folsom had a sack as well. George Wolo had a sack of his own as Buffalo combined for 5 sacks and 9 TFLs in the win.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers sill be out to build on their 52-7 beatdown of Fordham last time out. Adrian Martinez threw for 254 yards and a score of 17 of 23 passing while also rushing for 33 yards and a pair of TDs. Markese Stepp had 101 rushing yards on a team-high 18 carries while Samori Toure had 35 rushing yards with a score and Sevion Morrison had a pair of rushing touchdowns. Marvin Scott III added a ground TD as well to make it six rushing scores while Toure caught a team-high 8 passes for 133 yards. Austin Allen had 4 grabs for 61 yards and Omar Manning added 3 catches for 54 yards while Chancellor Brewington had a touchdown catch. Quinton Newsome and JoJo Domann each had a team-high 5 total tackles with Newsome logging Nebraska’s lone sack while Domann had an interception. Deontai Williams also contributed a pair of INTs for Nebraska in the victory.

Buffalo is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 road games. Nebraska is 4-12 ATS in their last 16 Saturday games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games in September while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 home games.

I get the case for certain teams to be favored at home, but I’m still not buying what Nebraska is selling. This team just doesn’t look like it’s behind Scott Frost and the pieces that Frost has in place within the lineup could end up being his downfall (I’m talking to you Adrian Martinez). This is a talented Buffalo team that’s not going to be scared of the step up, if we can call it that, in competition and aren’t going to be intimidated by the Huskers. Give me Buffalo and the points here.
