The Georgia Bulldogs meet the South Carolina Gamecocks Saturday in week 3 college football action from Sanford Stadium. South Carolina just finished up against East Carolina last weekend. In that one the Gamecocks eked out a three-point win. As for Georgia they played UAB in their last appearance. The Bulldogs posted a massive blowout win in that game. South Carolina didn’t have any trouble with Eastern Illinois in their opener this year, jumping out to a 29-0 lead at the half and cruising to a 46-0 blowout victory. QB Zeb Noland notched 121 yards with four touchdowns, and Zaquandre White led the rush with 128 yards and a score.
In week two versus East Carolina, South Carolina came back from a 14-7 halftime deficit to secure a 20-7 win. Noland passed for 214 yards with one TD and a pick in the victory, and Juju McDowell put up 71 yards on 11 carries.
Over on the Georgia side, they had a tough matchup versus Clemson in their first game, but powered through on a 10-3 victory. QB JT Daniels managed 135 yards and a pick on a 22-of-30 line, and Zamir White had 74 rush yards on his 13 carries.
In the UAB game this past weekend the Bulldogs didn’t have a lot of trouble after a 35-0 half-time lead, cruising to a 56-7 win. Stetson Bennett managed 288 yards and five touchdowns, and Brock Bowers caught three balls for 107 yards and two scores.

The Gamecocks are 2-0-2 ATS in their last four in September and 2-6 ATS versus a team with a winning record. South Carolina is 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight overall as well.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 at home versus a team with a winning road record. The over is also 5-1 in the Gamecocks’ last six on the road.
PICK: Going with Georgia. The Bulldogs looked quite impressive in week two, posting 539 yards of total offense, 376 pass yards and 9.0 yards per play. Georgia held UAB to just 47 passing yards and 11 first downs in a dominant defensive outing as well.
As for South Carolina, they had a nice mix of run and pass in their week two matchup, but nearly got themselves into a defeat with three turnovers and eight penalties. The Gamecocks also went just 2-of-12 on third downs. All in all, Georgia looks better to me on a cover here.
