The Miami Hurricanes meet the Michigan State Spartans Saturday in week 3 college football action at Hard Rock Stadium. The Michigan State Spartans look for another win after beating Northwestern and Youngstown State. The Miami Hurricanes look for a win to get a game above a .500 record.

The Michigan State Spartans look for their first 3-0 start since the 2015 CFB season. Payton Thorne is completing 65.2 percent of his passes for 465 yards, five touchdowns and zero interceptions. Jayden Reed and Tre Mosley have combined for 311 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Jalen Nailor has six receptions. The Michigan State Spartans ground game is averaging 299 yards per contest, and Kenneth Walker III leads the way with 321 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Michigan State is allowing 17.5 points and 352 yards per game. Xavier Henderson leads the Michigan State Spartans with 17 tackles, Quavaris Crouch has one sack and Angelo Grose has two pass deflections.

The Miami Hurricanes have won five of their last six home games. D’Eriq King is completing 68.3 percent of his passes for 379 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Key’Shawn Smith and Charleston Rambo have combined for 196 receiving yards on 20 catches while Xavier Resterpo has four receptions. The Miami Hurricanes ground game is averaging 139 yards per contest, and Cam’Ron Harris leads the way with 128 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Miami is allowing 33.5 points and 426.5 yards per game. Gurvan Hall Jr. leads the Miami Hurricanes with 18 tackles, Jahfari Harvey has one sack and Amari Carter has one interception.

The Spartans are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The Hurricanes are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The over is 5-0 in Spartans last 5 games overall. The under is 4-1 in Hurricanes last 5 games on grass.

The Michigan State Spartans are an old school Big Ten team that’s physical in the trenches and gets after it defensively. Through two games, MSU has one of the best rushing attacks in the country. Miami hasn’t looked good through two games, getting blasted by Alabama and nearly losing to App State. Manny Diaz doesn’t appear to be a good head coach and Miami doesn’t feel like a good football team. This line is rather surprising. Give me Michigan State and the points, a game the Spartans could win outright.
