The Old Dominion Monarchs meet the Buffalo Bulls in week 4 college football action from S.B. Ballard Stadium on Saturday.

The Buffalo Bulls will look to rebound from a heartbreaking 28-26 loss at the hands of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers last time out. Kyle Vantrease has thrown for 601 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 61.8% passing while Kevin Marks Jr. leads Buffalo’s ground attack with 221 rushing yards and 3 TDs. Ron Cook Jr. has 183 rushing yards and Dylan McDuffie has 165 rushing yards with 3 scores as well this season. Quian Williams leads Buffalo’s receiving group with 15 catches for 212 yards while Dominic Johnson and Jovany Ruiz each have 100+ yard receiving tallies this season. Defensively, James Patterson leads the Bulls with 28 total tackles including 12 solo tackles while E.J. Brown has 20 total tackles with a team-high 14 solo tackles and Taylor Riggins has a team-high 4 sacks.

The Old Dominion Monarchs will be looking to bounce back after a 45-17 beatdown at the hands of Liberty in their last game. D.J. Mack Jr. has thrown for 335 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 47.1% passing while Hayden Wolff’s tossed for 140 yards and a touchdown on 62.5% passing. Elijah Davis leads Old Dominion’s ground attack with 235 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns while Jon-Luke Peaker has 169 rushing yards this season. Zack Kuntz also leads the Monarchs in receiving with 10 catches for 140 yards and a TD this season. Defensively, Jordan Young has a team-high 20 total tackles while Tre Hawkins III has 17 total tackles with a team-high 14 solo tackles. Amorie Morrison leads ODU with 3 sacks and Deeve Harris is right behind with a pair of sacks this season.

Buffalo is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against C-USA and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games as a favorite while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record. Old Dominion is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games and 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 home games while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 games against a team with a losing record.

I’m not usually a fan of laying double-digits on the road with a team that’s below .500, but the Bulls took it to Coastal Carolina and fell just short while Old Dominion has been flattened by better competition in the last couple of weeks and there’s not much they can do to stop it from happening again. Buffalo is simply the better team here and should win this one by at least two scores.
