Arkansas vs Auburn 10/16/21 College Football Picks and Predictions

The Arkansas Razorbacks and Auburn Tigers meet in a week 7 SEC college football battle from Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon.

The Auburn Tigers will look to rebound from a 34-10 loss at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs last time out. Bo Nix has thrown for 1,196 yards, 6 touchdowns and a pick on 57.8% passing while Jarquez Hunter and Tarik Bigsby have rushed for a combined 923 yards and 8 touchdowns. Kobe Hudson, John Samuel Shenker, Demetris Robertson and Shedrick Jackson each have 200+ receiving yards this season. Chandler Wooten leads Auburn’s defense with 43 total tackles while Eku Leota has a team-high 4 sacks. Derick Hall and T.D. Moultry each have 3 sacks as well this season.

The Arkansas Razorbacks will be out to bounce back from a 52-51 loss to Ole Miss last time out. KJ Jefferson has thrown for 1,235 yards, 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 62.7% passing while also rushing for 320 yards. Trelon Smith and Raheim Sanders each have 300+ rushing yards this season.  Treylon burks leads Arkansas with 29 grabs for 519 yards and 3 touchdowns while Tyson Morris, Warren Thompson and De’Vion Warren each have 100+ receiving yards this year. On defense, Bumper Pool leads the Razorbacks with 61 total tackles while Tre Williams has a team-high 4 sacks.

Auburn is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games against a team with a winning record and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a road underdog. Arkansas is 11-4 ATS in their last 15 conference games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 home games.

I don’t think you can really criticize Auburn for that game against Georgia, but realistically, Auburn hasn’t looked like they have the same teeth under Bryan Harsin in his first year at the helm. Arkansas has been a pleasant surprise this season and at home I think they’re fully capable of getting a win and cover at home here.
