The Georgia Wildcats and Kentucky Wildcats meet in a week 7 SEC college football showdown from Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia on Saturday afternoon.

The Kentucky Wildcats will look to build off of a 42-21 win over LSU in their last game. Will Levis has thrown for 1,134 yards, 11 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 64.4% passing while Chris Rodriguez Jr. has a team-high 759 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns and Kavosley Smoke has 263 rushing yards. Wan’Dale Robinson has a team-high 37 receptions for 527 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns while Josh Ali has 248 receiving yards this season. On defense, DeAndre Square has a team-high 46 total tackles with a pair of sacks while J.J. Weaver has a team-high 4 sacks this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs will look to build off of a 34-10 win over Auburn last time out. Stetson Bennett has thrown for 746 yards, 8 touchdowns and 2 picks on 69.4% passing while Zamir White’s put up a team-high 354 rushing yards. James Cook and Kendall Milton each have 200+ rushing yards while Brock Bowers leads Georgia’s receivers with 20 grabs for 315 yards. Ladd McConkey and Jermaine Burton each have 200+ receiving yards this season. Defensively, Channing Tindall leads the Bulldogs with 29 tackles while Adam Anderson has a team-high 4 sacks and Nakobe Dean’s got 3.5 sacks this season.

Kentucky is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games as an underdog. Georgia is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the over is 8-3 in their last 11 games following a win.

This is a tough call, as newly-minted number 1 teams sometimes have issues dealing with being at the top, while Kentucky is coming for the upset but we’ve seen better teams struggle against the Bulldogs this season. Instead, I’m going to side with the under, as I see this being a game where there’s a lot of running the football and chewing of clock, kind of how the Auburn game went for Georgia.
