The Washington State Cougars and Stanford Cardinal do battle in a week 7 Pac-12 college football contest from Martin Stadium in Pullman, Washington on Saturday night.

The Stanford Cardinal will be out to rebound from a 28-10 loss at the hands of Arizona State last time out. Tanner McKee has thrown for 1,449 yards, 12 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 63.4% passing while Nathaniel Peat’s rushed for 306 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Elijah Higgins leads the Cardinal with 29 grabs for 383 yards and 4 scores while John Humphreys, Brycen Tremayne and Benjamin Yurosek each have 200+ receiving yards with Tremayne logging 5 touchdowns this season. On defense, Levani Damuni has a team-high 38 total tackles while Stephen Herron has a team-high 3 sacks.

The Washington State Cougars will be out to build on their 31-24 win over Oregon State last time out. Jayden de Laura has thrown for 1,193 yards, 12 touchdowns and 5 INTs on 63.7% passing while Max Borghi’s rushed for a team-high 332 yards and Deon Mcintosh has 269 rushing yards this season. Calvin Jackson Jr. leads Wazzu with 404 receiving yards coming on 35 catches with 3 TDs while Travell Harris has a team-high 39 grabs and 4 scores with 394 receiving yards. De’Zhaun Stribling’s got 254 receiving yards and another pair of Cougars have 100+ receiving yards this season. On defense, Jahad Woods leads Washington State with 44 total tackles while Ron Stone Jr. has a team-high 3 sacks this season.

Stanford is 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss while the over is 14-4 in their last 18 games following a loss. Washington State is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games as an underdog.

I think this is one of the tougher games on Saturday’s card and the line rightfully reflects that sitting at a near pick ‘em. With that said, I like the direction that Washington State is trending after the wins over Cal and Oregon State. Stanford has the better wins and competition on their resume, but the loss to Arizona State took some life from them and I think Wazzu capitalizes on that with a win and cover at home in this one.
