The Army Black Knights and Wake Forest Demon Deacons square off in a college football cotnest from Michie Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons come into this one rested after a bye week following their 40-37 OT win over Syracuse last time out. Sam Hartman’s thrown for 1,615 yards 14 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 63% passing while Christian Beal-Smith leads the Demon Deacons with 375 rushing yards and 5 scores and Justice Ellison and Christian Turner each have 200+ rushing yards this season. Jaquarii Roberson leads Wake in receiving with 515 receiving yards and 31 catches while A.T. Perry has 454 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns this year. On defense, Luke Masterson leads the Demon Deacons with 39 total tackles while Luiji Vilain has a team-high 3.5 sacks on the year.

The Army Black Knights will enter this one on the heels of a 20-14 loss to Wisconsin last time out. Christian Anderson leads Army’s option offense with 431 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns while Tyrell Robinson has 282 rushing yards. Four more Black Knights have at least 100 rushing yards this season while Isaiah Alston leads the Black Knights with 109 receiving yards this season. Defensively, Arik Smith leads Army with 34 total tackles while Marquel Broughton has a pair of interceptions and Andre Carter II has a team-high 7 sacks this season.

Wake Forest is 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a road favorite and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games while the under is 12-5 in their last 17 games against a team with a winning record. Army is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 games against the ACC.

This run that the Demon Deacons have been on is impressive, but I’m concerned about the level of competition across the board for Wake. Army hadn’t had an overly tough schedule to begin with either, but they took Wisconsin to their limit and have a win over a high-powered Western Kentucky team so being involved in an offensive shootout won’t throw Army for a loop. I think the Black Knights could keep this one at a field goal if not win it outright, so I’ll take the Black Knights and the points here.
