The Kansas Jayhawks and Oklahoma Sooners meet in week 8 Big 12 conference college football action from David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Oklahoma Sooners will be out to build on their 52-31 win over TCU last time out. Spencer Rattler leads Oklahoma with 1,371 yards, 10 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 74.3% passing but Caleb Williams has seen significant playing time as of late and has 609 passing yards with 6 touchdowns on 67.8% passing. Kennedy Brooks leads OU with 688 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns while Eric Gray and the aforementioned Williams each have 200+ rushing yards. Marvin Mims leads Oklahoma’s receiving group with 456 receiving yards while Michael Woods, Jadon Haselwood and Mario Williams each have 200+ receiving yards and another three Sooners have 100+ receiving yards this season. On defense, Pat Fields leads the Sooners with 42 total tackles while Isaiah Thomas and Perrion Winfrey each have 4.5 sacks to lead Oklahoma and Nik Bonitto has 4 sacks as well this year.

The Kansas Jayhawks will be looking to get a big win that would snap a five game losing stream after a 41-14 loss to Texas Tech last time out. Jason Bean has thrown for 932 yards, 5 touchdowns and 4 INTs on 55.4% passing while also rushing for 305 yards but it’s Devin Neal that leads Kansas in rushing with 318 rushing yards this year Trevor Wilson and Kwamie Lassiter II each have 200+ receiving yards while Luke Grimm and Lawrence Arnold each have 100+ receiving yards this year. On defense, Gavin Potter and Kenny Logan Jr. share the team-high with 42 total tackles while Kyron Johnson has a team-high 2.5 of Kansas’ 3 sacks as a team this year.

Oklahoma is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 conference games while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 games following a win. Kansas is 3-13 ATS in their last 16 conference games and 6-21 ATS in their last 27 games overall while the over is 10-1 in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record.

Simply put, this is a bloodbath that’s coming Kansas’ way, it’s just a matter of when Lincoln Riley is going to call off the dogs. The problem is that I don’t know if he will because Oklahoma’s looking rejuvenated given the QB change and the Sooners want to impress the playoff committee and this is the perfect opportunity to flex some muscle. It’s a massive number, but Oklahoma wins this by 40+.
