The Purdue Boilermakers and Wisconsin Badgers meet in a week 8 Big Ten conference college football matchup from Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Wisconsin Badgers come into this one fresh off of a 20-14 win over Army last time out. Graham Mertz has thrown for 893 yards, 2 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on 55.6% passing wihle Chez Mellusi has a team-high 543 rushing yards and 3 scores. Barelon Allen has 288 rushing yards with 3 TDs and Isaac Guerendo has 180 rushing yards as well for the Badgers. Kendric Pryor and Danny Davis III each have 200+ receiving yards for Wisky this season while Jake Ferguson and Chimere Dike also have 100+ receiving yards each as well. On defense, Len Chenal leads the Badgers with 30 total tackles while Nick Herbig has a team-high 3.5 sacks this season.

The Purdue Boilermakers will be out to add to their 24-7 win over Iowa to crack this week’s top-25. Aidan O’Connell’s thrown for 1,118 yards, 6 touchdowns and 5 INTs on 68.6% passing while Jack Plummer’s thrown for 843 yards and 7 touchdowns on 69.2% passing. King Doerue leads the Boilers in rushing with 269 rushing yards while David Bell leads Purdue in receiving with 38 grabs for 679 yards and 4 touchdowns. Milton Wright and Payne Durham have combined for 479 yards and 5 touchdowns receiving, while another three Boilermakers have at least 100 receiving yards this season. On defense, Jaylan Alexander leads the Boilermakers with 37 total tackles while Marvin Grant has 36 total tackles and George Karlaftis has a team-high 2.5 sacks on the year.

Wisconsin is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games as a road favorite while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 conference games. Purdue is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a home underdog and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 conference games.

A case can be made for either side here as the Badgers are probably better than their record suggests but I want to see it before I believe it, while Purdue is coming off of that big win over Iowa so there could be a letdown but I’m not really buying into that either. I am going to side with the under though, even with the low total. This just feels like a black and blue style of game where the first to 20 wins, similar to what Wisconsin had to deal with against Army.
