The UCF Knights and Memphis Tigers square off Friday night in week 8 AAC college football action at the Bounce House in Orlando, Florida. The Memphis Tigers need a win after splitting their last six games. The UCF Knights need a win to get a game above a .500 record.

The Memphis Tigers have lost five of their last seven road games. Seth Henigan is completing 60.8 percent of his passes for 2,153 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions. Calvin Austin III and Sean Dykes have combined for 12,98 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, while Javon Ivory has 17 receptions. The Memphis Tigers ground game is averaging 179.7 yards per contest, and Brandon Thomas leads the way with 642 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Memphis is allowing 30.4 points and 426.6 yards per game. JJ Russell leads the Memphis Tigers with 77 tackles, Maurice White has two sacks and Sylvonta Oliver has one interception.

The UCF Knights have won five of their last six home games. Dillon Gabriel is completing 68.6 percent of his passes for 814 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. Ryan O’Keefe and Brandon Johnson have combined for 631 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, while Jaylon Robinson has 12 receptions. The UCF Knights ground game is averaging 204.2 yards per contest, and Johnny Richardson leads the way with 317 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, UCF is allowing 32.2 points and 384.2 yards per game. Bryson Armstrong leads the UCF Knights with 53 tackles, Josh Celiscar has three sacks and Tatum Bethune has one interception.

The Tigers are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 conference games. The Knights are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The under is 8-3 in Tigers last 11 games overall. The over is 4-1 in Knights last 5 conference games. The Tigers are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Central Florida.

The Memphis Tigers are probably the better team here, so getting them in the underdog role has some value. However, I’m not betting against UCF at home, given the Knights have been one of the best home teams in the country the last five years. With all that said, I’m going with the over. Memphis is 100th in total defense, 116th in pass defense and 96th in scoring defense. UCF is 95th in rushing defense and 107th in scoring defense. The over is 5-1 in the Knight’s last six games. Give me the over.
