The Oregon State Beavers meet the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday in week 11 Pac-12 college football action from Reser Stadium.

The Stanford Cardinal will be out to rebound from a poor showing in a 52-7 loss at the hands of the Utah Utes in their last game. Tanner McKee has thrown for 1,916 yards, 14 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 64.8% passing while Nathaniel Peat leads the Cardinal with 347 rushing yards and Austin Jones has 279 rushing yards as well this season. Benjamin Yurosek leads Stanford’s receiving group with 475 receiving yards and Elijah Higgins has 449 receiving yards with 4 TDs while three other Stanford receivers have 200+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Levani Damuni leads the Cardinal with 70 total tackles along with a pair of sacks and Stephen Herron has 3 sacks as well on the year.

The Oregon State Beavers will look to rebound from back-to-back losses after a 37-34 overtime loss to Colorado in their last game. Chance Nolan has thrown for 1,759 yards, 14 touchdowns and 8 interceptions on 61.7% passing while B.J. Baylor leads the Beavers in rushing with 970 yards and 11 TDs and Deshaun Fenwick has 380 rushing yards and 4 scores as well this season. Trevon Bradford leads Oregon State’s receivers with 28 grabs for 421 yards and 3 scores while three other Beavers have 200+ receiving yards and another five have at least 100 receiving yards this season. On defense, Avery Roberts leads the Beavers with 98 total tackles while Andrzej Hughes-Murray has a team-high 4 sacks and Omar Speights has 58 total tackles with a pair of interceptions as well this season.

Stanford is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 conference games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as a road underdog while the over is 16-5 in their last 21 games following a loss. Oregon State is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a loss.

I get the case that can be made for an underdog in most spots, but Stanford just has not been good this season and the loss to Utah was just a microcosm of what we’ve seen from Stanford over the course of the year. Oregon State slipped up against Colorado and Cal in two winnable games, even on the road, but the Beavers have been a much better team at home this season and have a win over the same Utah team that decimated Stanford last week. Give me Oregon State in this one.
