The Virginia Tech Hokies and Duke Blue Devils meet in a week 11 ACC college football contest from Lane Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Duke Blue Devils come into this game looking to shake off a 54-29 loss at the hands of Pitt in their last matchup. Gunnar Holmberg has thrown for 2,034 yards, 7 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 69.3% passing while Mataeo Durant has a team-high 1,062 rushing yards and 9 TDs on the ground this season. Jake Bobo has  ateam0high 49 grabs for 628 yards while Jalon Calhoun has 609 receiving yards as the two main receiving threats for Duke this season. On defense, Shaka Heyward leads the Blue Devils with 74 total tackles while DeWayne Carter has a team-high 4.5 sacks. Leonard Johnson and Jeremiah Lewis each have a pair of interceptions as well this season.

The Virginia Tech Hokies will attempt to bounce back from a 17-3 loss at the hands of Boston College in their last game. Braxton Burmeister has thrown for 1,495 yards, 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 54.1% passing while Raheem Blackshear has a team-high 425 rushing yards with 4 TDs and Malachi Thomas has 372 rushing yards with 3 scores. Tre Turner has a team-high 602 receiving yards this season while Tayvion Robinson has 367 receiving yards on a team-high 35 catches with 4 TDs this season. On defense, Nasir Peoples has a team-high 72 total tackles while Jermaine Waller has 4 interceptions and Tyjuan Garbutt, Dax Hollifield and Amare Barno each have 3.5 sacks on the year.

Duke is 1-9 ATS in their last 10 conference games and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 home games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games as a road underdog. Virginia Tech is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 conference games.

This feels like a lot of points especially with how Virginia came out flat against Boston College. However, Duke hasn’t been good on the road this season and I just don’t know how much we can trust them to keep this one close. I feel bad for David Cutcliffe because he’s a good coach, this just isn’t a goodJae  Duke football team. Give me the Hokies at home here.
