The Boise State Broncos meet the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday in MWC college football action from Albertsons Stadium.

The New Mexico Lobos will try to bounce back from a 34-7 loss at the hands of Fresno State in their last game. Terry Wilson has thrown for 1,058 yards, 7 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 58% passing while Aaron Dumas has 622 rushing yards and Bobby Cole has another 348 rushing yards as well for the Lobos this season. Luke Wysong leads the Lobos with 24 catches for 224 yards while another four New Mexico receivers have at least 100 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Jerrick Reed II has a team-high 73 total tackles while Joey Noble has 4.5 sacks and Justin Harris has 4 sacks as well this season.

The Boise State Broncos will be looking to build on three straight wins after a 23-13 win over Wyoming in their last game. Hank Bachmeier has thrown for 2,711 yards, 17 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 64.9% passing while George Holani has a team-high 385 rushing yards, Cyrus Habibi-Likio has 321 rushing yards and Andrew Van Buren has 210 rushing yards this season. Khalil Shakir leads Boise State’s receivers with 64 grabs for 927 yards and 5 TDs while Octavius Evans and Stefan Cobbs have a combined 778 receiving yards and 7 TDs this season. On defense, JL Skinner has a team-high 74 total tackles while Scott Matlock has a team-high 7 sacks and Isaiah Bagnah has a team-high 6 sacks this season.

New Mexico is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games and 9-24 ATS in their last 33 conference games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games as an underdog. Boise State is 8-3-2 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall.

The Lobos have been absolutely awful this season, there’s no disputing that. However, as much as Boise State’s the better team, I’m not looking to lay almost four touchdowns with this year’s edition of the Broncos. Boise State just hasn’t deserved to be this kind of favorite, even at home. This year’s Boise State team just lacks the bite we’ve come to expect from them, especially on the blue turf. I’m not loving this game, but if forced to pick, it’s New Mexico or pass for me here.
