The UTSA Roadrunners meet the UAB Blazers on Saturday in week 12 C_USA college football action from the Alamodome.

The UAB Blazers come into this game looking to build on a 21-14 win over Marshall in their last game. Dylan Hopkins has thrown for 1,723 yards, 11 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 62.4% passing while DeWayne McBride leads the Blazers with 945 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns and Jermaine Brown Jr. has 468 rushing yards with 4 scores as well this season.Gerrit Prince and Trey Shropshire each have 500+ receiving yards to lead UAB with a combined 1,111 yards and 11 touchdowns. RaJae’ Johson-Sanders also has 338 receiving yards and another three Blazers have at least 100 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Noah Wilder leads UAB with 63 total tackles while four other Blazers share the team lead with 3 sacks apiece this season.

The UTSA Roadrunners will be looking to stay unbeaten after improving to 10-0 with a 27-17 win over Southern Miss in their last game. Frank Harris has thrown for 2,306 yards, 20 touchdowns and 5 INTs on 66.9% passing while Sincere McCormick leads UTSA with 1,150 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Zakhari Franklin leads UTSA with 750 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns while Josh Cephus has 682 receiving yards with 6 scores and De’Corian Clark also has 485 receiving yards for the Roadrunners this season. Another three UTSA receivers have at least 100 receiving yards for the team as well this season. On defense, Rashad Wisdom leads UTSA with 62 total tackles while Clarence Hicks has a team-high 6 sacks.

UAB is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 7 conference games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 road games. UTSA is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games while the under is 17-5 in their last 22 games as a favorite.

I get why oddsmakers could make this a short line, but I’m not one who’s waiting for the shoe to drop on UTSA. The Roadrunners have been solid this season and are looking to make a big time bowl and that’s big news for this UTSA team that’s had their share of ups and downs over the years. UAB’s a solid team, but the Roadrunners are more than capable of winning this game by a touchdown. I’ll lay the points here.
