The Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars square off Friday night in week 13 Pac-12 college football action from Husky Stadium in Seattle. Washington State matched up against Arizona last week. In that one, the Cougars posted a blowout win. As for the Huskies, they played Colorado in their last game. Washington ended up losing by three in a rough outing. Check back all season long for free college football picks at Sports Chat Place.

Washington State began their year on a 1-3 run with a lone win over Portland State. The Cougars caught fire with victories in their next three prior to a tight loss to BYU. After that Washington State beat Arizona State before losing to Oregon.

In the Arizona matchup, Washington State jumped out to a 21-7 halftime lead and cruised to a 44-18 win. QB Jayden de Laura posted 259 yards with four TDs, and Max Borghi had 139 rush yards and two scores on 16 carries.

Over on the Huskies’ side, they went 2-2 over their first four games this year with wins over Arkansas State and California. Washington would hit 2-2 in their next four, then lose to Oregon 26-16 and Arizona State 35-30.

In the Colorado game, Washington went into the fourth quarter with a 10-10 tie but couldn’t overcome their mistakes in a 20-17 loss. QB Dylan Morris put up 387 yards with two scores and two picks, and Cameron Davis led the rush on 29 yards.

The Cougars are 7-1 ATS in their last eight overall and 6-1 ATS in the last seven conference games. Washington State is 4-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record.

Meanwhile, the Huskies are 4-1 ATS in their last five Friday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight at home. Washington is 2-8 ATS in the last 10 on turf.

PICK: I like Washington State in this one. The Cougars managed 482 total yards against Arizona, with 18 first downs and 8.3 yards per play. Washington State struck quickly and really didn’t hold the ball for that long (28:02).

As for Washington, they had the offense moving well in the Colorado game but couldn’t overcome their four turnovers. The Huskies posted 426 total yards with 22 first downs anyhow. If the Washington offense comes back strong here we should have a higher-scoring game.
