The Liberty Flames meet the Army Black Knights on Saturday in week 13 college football action from Williams Stadium. Army is coming off a matchup versus UMass. In that one the Black Knights won by 16 points. As for Liberty, they played Louisiana in their last outing. The Flames lost that game in a blowout. Army got off to a nice start in their first four games, beating Georgia State, WKU, UConn and Miami-OH in succession. The Knights lost to Ball State, Wisconsin and Wake Forest in their next three, then beat Air Force and Bucknell.

Winning Props Bets

Last Saturday versus UMass, Army had a 19-10 halftime edge and eventually pulled out a 33-17 win. QB Christian Anderson threw for 42 yards on two completions, and Tyrell Robinson rushed for 137 yards and a score.

Over on the Liberty side, they won their first three games of the season before a tough three-point loss to Syracuse. The Flames then hit a 5-1 run with a loss to LA-Monroe as the only blemish. Liberty kicked off November with a 27-14 loss to Ole Miss.

In the Louisiana matchup, the Flames were down 21-7 at halftime and never closed the deficit in a 42-14 loss. QB Malik Willis posted 162 yards with two scores and two picks. TJ Green led the rush with four carries for 56 yards.

The Knights are 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and the under is 10-3-1 in their last 14 road games. The under is 5-2 in Army’s last seven overall.

Meanwhile, the Flames are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven conference games and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 on turf. Liberty is 8-1 ATS in their last nine at home.

PICK: I’m going to try Liberty here. The Flames were flummoxed by the Cajuns in their last game and coughed up a whopping six turnovers and had seven penalties, but the offense clicked at times for 293 total yards. If Liberty can clean up the mistakes they should be able to move the ball.

As for Army, they notched 377 rushing yards against UMass, with 5.9 yards per play and 20 first downs. The Knights were aided by four turnovers however, so if Liberty can put an emphasis on ball control I think they’ll be okay for a cover.
