This matchup has been canceled due to a massive COVID outbreak with the Miami Hurricanes. The Miami Hurricanes and the Washington State Cougars meet in the Sun Bowl in college football action from Sun Bowl Stadium.

The Miami Hurricanes come into the bowl game representing the ACC after finishing the regular season at 7-5. Tyler Van Dyke has thrown for 2,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 62.3% passing while Jaylan Knighton leads the Hurricanes in rushing with 561 rushing yards and 8 TDs. Charleston Rambo leads Miami with 1,172 receiving yards coming on 79 catches with 7 TDs while Mike Harley has 543 receiving yards and Key’Shawn Smith has 405 receiving yards as well for Miami this season. On defense, Corey Flagg Jr. leads the Hurricanes with 60 total tackles with 3 sacks as well while Zach McCloud has a team-high 5.5 sacks as well this season.

The Washington State Cougars come in on behalf of the Pac-12 after going 7-5 as well this season. I get that the Hurricanes have a solid roster and have a great coach in Mario Cristobal coming aboard, but that doesn’t help Miami right now and this Washington State team has come on strong over the course of the season. It’ll be interesting to see how these young QBs do in their first taste of bowl action but I lean the way of the Cougars here.
