The Maryland Terrapins and Ohio State Buckeyes clash Saturday in a week 12 Big Ten college football matchup from SECU Stadium.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will be out to remain unbeaten after a 56-14 beatdown win over Indiana last time out. C.J. Stroud has thrown for 2,750 yards, 34 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 67.1% passing while Miyan Williams has a team-high 783 rushing yards and 13 TDs and TreVeyon Henderson also has 552 rushing yards and 6 scores as well this season. Marvin Harrison Jr. leads the Buckeyes with 60 catches for 969 receiving yards while Emeka Egbuka has 51 catches for 832 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. Julian Fleming also has 365 receiving yards with 6 TDs while Cade Stover has 366 receiving yards and 5 scores. On defense, Tommy Eichenberg has a team-high 92 total tackles with 57 solo tackles while Ohio State’s defense as a whole has 26 sacks and 10 interceptions this season.

The Maryland Terrapins will try to bounce back from back-to-back road losses after a 30-0 loss to Penn State in their last game. Taulia Tagovailoa’s thrown for 2,152 yards, 14 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 68.3% passing while Roman Hemby has 815 rushing yards and 7 TDs and Antwain Littleton II has 6 rushing scores this season. Rakim Jarrett has a team-high 406 receiving yards and Corey Dyches has 386 receiving yards with Jarrett logging a team-high 37 receptions. Jacob Copeland and Jeshaun Jones each have 300+ receiving yards while another pair of Terrapins have 200+ receiving yards this season. On defense, Beau Brade has a team-high 67 total tackles with 41 solo tackles and Greg China-Rose has a team-high 4 sacks as well this season.

Ohio State is 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games following an ATS win. Maryland is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 games in November.

I get the reasoning for looking at Maryland as a home underdog with Michigan having the big rivalry game against Michigan on deck. However, Ohio State has been pretty much unstoppable on offense with the exception of the Notre Dame game and the Northwestern game that dealt with some crazy weather. Maryland on the other hand has sputtered in back-to-back weeks, scoring just 10 points combined in their last two games and I just feel that Ohio State is going to add to Maryland’s misery here. Give me the Buckeyes big.
