The Oregon Ducks and Stanford Cardinal do battle Saturday in a week 5 Pac-12 college football contest from Autzen Stadium.

The Stanford Cardinal will look to bounce back from back-to-back losses after a 40-22 loss to Washington last time out. Tanner McKee has thrown for 814 yards, 6 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 67% passing while E.J. Smith and Casey Filkins have combined for 403 rushing yards and 5 rushing scores this season. Michael Wilson leads Stanford with 13 catches for 288 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns while John Humphreys and Elijah Higgins each have 100+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Levani Damuni and Kendall Williamson each have a team-high 19 total tackles while Stanford’s defense as a whole has 6 sacks this season.

The Oregon Ducks will look to build on their 3rd straight win after a 44-41 win over Washington State last time out. Bo Nix has thrown for 1,100 yards, 10 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 72% passing while Bucky Irving has a team-high 265 rushing yards and Noah Washington has 178 rushing yards as well this season. Troy Franklin has a team-high 20 grabs for 339 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns while four other Ducks have at least 100 receiving yards this season, including Terrance Ferguson who has 4 TD grabs as well this season. On defense, three Ducks have a team-high 19 total tackles while Trikweze Bridges has a pair of interceptions and Oregon’s defense as a unit has 7 sacks this season.

Stanford is 8-23-1 ATS in their last 32 games overall and 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 conference games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. Oregon is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games following a win while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games following an ATS loss.

I get the case to be made for Stanford catching points here as this is usually a physical, low-scoring and somewhat tight matchup. That being said, I’m going with Oregon here because the Ducks have been firing fairly well since the Georgia loss, putting up 40+ in three straight and while Stanford did their fair share of scoring against Washington and USC, the defense couldn’t hold and keep the Cardinal in those games. I think this is a similar game to that, so give me the Ducks laying the points here.
