The Syracuse Orange and Florida State Seminoles clash Saturday in a week 11 ACC college football matchup from the JMA Wireless Dome.

The Florida State Seminoles will look to build on back-to-back wins, sitting at 6-3 on the year after a 45-3 win over Miami last time out. Jordan Travis has thrown for 2,259 yards, 17 touchdowns and 4 interceptions while Trey Benson has a team-high 611 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns while Treshaun Ward has 488 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns and Lawrance Toafili has 367 rushing yards and 5 scores as well. Johnny Wilson leads FSU’s receiving group with 32 grabs for 625 yards and 4 touchdowns while Ontaria Wilson has 376 receiving yards as well. The Seminoles also have a trio of 200+ yard receivers and two more 100+ yard receivers this season. On defense, Jammie Robinson has a team-high 68 total tackles and Jared Verse has a team-high 5.5 sacks. Florida State’s defense has 26 sacks and 6 interceptions as a unit this season.

The Syracuse Orange will look to snap a three-game losing streak, sitting at 6-3 on the year after a 19-9 loss to Pitt last time out. Garrett Shrader has thrown for 1,636 yards, 14 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 67.2% passing while also rushing for 373 yards and 6 scores but is questionable at the time of this posting with an undisclosed injury. Sean Tucker has a team-high 777 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns while Oronde Gadsden II has a team-high 41 receptions for 671 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns this season. Devaughn Cooper has 241 receiving yards while five other Orange receivers have at least 100 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Mikel Jones has a team-high 75 total tackles while Syracuse’s defense has combined for 21 sacks and 10 interceptions this season.

Florida State is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning home record. I could make a case for either side in this game, but I feel the better play is the under here. Syracuse’s offense has really dropped off without Garrett Shrader in the fold, and it really showed against Pitt last week as the Orange just couldn’t get anything of any substance really going downhill. Florida State has been solid offensively in recent weeks, but I think Syracuse is going to give FSU a bit of pushback here as the Orange have a top-15 defense including the 6^th best defense against the pass up to this point in the year. I’ll side with the under in this one.
