The Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Tech Red Raiders meet in college basketball action from Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday night.

The Oklahoma Sooners will look to build on their 28-13 win over Oklahoma State last time out.  Dillon Gabriel has thrown for 2,476 yards, 18 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 62% passing while Eric Gray leads OU with 1,203 yards and 11 scores. Jovantae Barnes has 397 rushing yards with 4 TDs and Marcus Major has 4 TDs as well on the year. On defense, Danny Stutsman has a team-high 100 total tackles and a team-high 55 solo tackles and Reggie Grimes and Ethan Downs each have a team-high 4.5 sacks. Oklahoma’s defense as a whole has combined for 25 sacks and 15 interceptions this season.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders will try to build on back-to-back wins after a 43-28 win over Kansas last time out. Donovan Smith has thrown for 1,505 yards, 12 touchdowns and 8 INTs on 66.2% passing while Behren Morton has thrown for 1,117 yards, 7 scores and 6 interceptions on 57.1% passing. SaRodorick Thompson leads Texas Tech’s ground attack with 584 rushing yards  with 4 touchdowns while Tahj Brooks has 575 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns this season. Xavier White leads Texas Tech in receiving with 557 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns while Jerand Bradley and Myles Price each have 400+ receiving yards as well on the year. Trey Cleveland and Nehemiah Martinez also have 300+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Krishon Merriweather has a team-high 97 total tackles while Tyree Wilson has a team-high 7 sacks and Reggie Pearson Jr. has a pair of INTs as well this season.

Oklahoma is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record and 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record. Texas Tech is 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a win and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games while the under is 8-3 in their last 11 games in November.

I get the case to be made for either side in this game, but I’m firmly on the over here. Head to head, the over’s hit in five straight meetings and just looking at the state of these two teams, both are bowl eligible, both are out of the race in the Big 12, so I think they’re going to let it loose here and put on a show to close out the year. Give me the over.
