The UTEP Miners and the UTSA Roadrunners meet in Conference USA college football action from the Alamo Dome on Saturday.

The UTEP Miners will try to become bowl eligible after picking up a 40-6 win over FIU last time out. Gavin Hardison has thrown for 2,044 yards, 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions on 52.1% passing while Ronald Awatt has 655 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and Deion Hankins has a team-high 670 rushing yards and 3 scores as well. Tyrin Smith has a team-high 67 grabs for 940 receiving yards with 6 touchdowns while Reynaldo Flores has 47 grabs for 511 receiving yards. On defense, Tyrice Knight has a team-high 89 total tackles and as a unit, UTEP has logged 24 sacks as a unit and 5 interceptions as well this season.

The UTSA Roadrunners will look to add to their current eight-game win streak after a 41-7 win over Rice last time out. Frank Harris has thrown for 3,142 yards, 24 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on 69.5% passing while also posting 525 rushing yards as well as 8 TDs this season. Brenden Brady leads UTSA with 690 rushing yards and 9 TDs while Kevorian Barnes has 483 rushing yards and 5 TDs as well on the year. Joshua Cephus leads UTSA in receiving with 75 grabs for 836 receiving yards and 5 scores while Zakhari Franklin has 69 catches for 830 yards and a team-high 10 touchdowns and De’Corian Clark also has 741 receiving yards with 8 touchdowns as well this season. On defense, Jamal Ligon has a team-high 68 total tackles while Trey Moore has a team-high 6 sacks this season. Corey Mayfield Jr. also has 3 interceptions as well this season.

UTEP is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games following an ATS win. UTSA is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games in November and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 home games against a team with a losing road record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall.

I think the easy pick here would be to just take UTSA as their offense has been electric all year long. However, I’m not so quick to count out UTEP because they’d be bowl eligible with a win here so in the season finale I expect UTEP to throw everything at UTSA here to try to grab a result. That being said, I’m going to side with the over, rather than try to mess with a side in case UTSA’s offense just ends up being too much for UTEP, but I think this is definitely a game marked to finish in the mid- to high-60s so give me the over here.
