The Boise State Broncos and UT-Martin Skyhawks clash Saturday in a week 3 college football game at Albertsons Stadium.
The UT-Martin Skyhawks will look to rebound from a 35-30 loss to Missouri State in their last game. Dresser Winn threw for 344 yards and 3 touchdowns on 29 of 41 passing while Zak Wallace rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Colton Dowell led the Skyhawks’ receiving group with 10 catches for 159 yards while DeVonte Tanksley had 5 grabs for 59 yards. DJ Nelson and Elijah Smoot each had a TD catch as well in the losing effort.
The Boise State Broncos will try to build on their 31-14 win over New Mexico last time out. Hank Bachmeier’s thrown for 200 yards, 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 57.1% passing while Taylen Green’s thrown for 155 yards and a pick on 67.9% passing while also rushing for a team-high 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ashton Jeanty and George Holani have combined for 164 rushing yards so far this season. Jeanty also leads the Broncos in receiving with 8 grabs for 79 yards while Billy Bowens has 5 grabs for 57 yards. On defense, DJ Schramm has a team-high 15 total tackles including 8 solo tackles while George Tarias has a team-high 2 sacks and Ezekiel Noa has 1.5 sacks.

I get the case to be made for UT-Martin here as the Broncos really haven’t been all that special up to this point in the season. That being said, the Broncos know they’ve underperformed so far, and this is a great spot to tune up and take out some frustration on a Skyhawks team that’s just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I look for this to be a dominant showing from Boise State, so I’ll lay it and play it with the Broncos here.
