The Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina A&T Aggies clash Saturday in week 3 college football action from Wallace Wade Stadium. North Carolina A&T just finished up a game versus North Dakota State. In that one the Aggies fell in a blowout. As for Duke, they played Northwestern in their last outing. The Blue Devils ended up winning by eight points. North Carolina A&T took on NC Central in their first game of the year. The Aggies couldn’t score after halftime and ended up losing 28-13. QB Zachary Yeager finished with 275 yards, one TD and one INT while also leading the rush on 59 yards from six carries.

In the matchup versus ND State, the Aggies coughed up 36 points in the first half alone on the way to a 43-3 loss. QB Jalen Fowler was 10-of-14 for 45 yards, and Bhayshul Tuten put up 24 carries for 127 yards to lead the rushing attack.

Over on the Duke side, they jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead versus Temple in their 2022 opener and cruised to the 30-0 blowout victory. QB Riley Leonard finished with 328 yards and two scores. Jalon Calhoun led the receivers on six catches for 90 yards.

Matched up against Northwestern in game two, the Devils scored 21 points in the first half on the way to a 31-23 victory. Leonard put up 240 yards with a TD and an INT, and Jordan Waters managed 10 carries for 91 yards and two scores.

PICK: I’m probably staying with Duke but not touching it. There are a few things that the Blue Devils need to clean up after their win versus Northwestern, and this should be a favorable matchup to do so. Duke gave up 511 yards, 29 first downs and 435 pass yards to the Wildcats. That said, the Devils came up with three turnovers and notched 7.8 yards per play themselves. Considering North Carolina A&T only has 16 points through two games so far, Duke should be set up for a blowout win in this one.
