The BYU Cougars and Wyoming Cowboys clash Saturday in week 4 college football action from LaVell Edwards Stadium.

The Wyoming Cowboys will look for another upset to add to their current three-game win streak after a 17-14 win over Air Force last time out. Andrew Peasley’s thrown for 592 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 60.2% passing while Titus Swen’s leading the Cowboys on the ground with 316 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. Joshua Cobbs has a team-high 180 receiving yards on 18 catches while Parker Christensen and Wyatt Wieland each have 100+ receiving yards this season. On defense, Easton Gibbs has a team-high 32 total tackles including 18 solo tackles while Shae Suiaunoa has a team-high 19 solo tackles and a pair of sacks. Oluwaseyi Omotosho has a team-high 3 sacks and DeVonne Harris also has a pair of sacks this season.

The BYU Cougars will be looking to rebound from a 41-20 loss at the hands of Oregon in their last game. Jaren Hall’s thrown for 827 yards, 5 touchdowns and an interception on 68.8% passing while Christopher Brooks has 194 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead BYU on the ground. Chase Roberts also has a team-high 223 receiving yards this season. On defense, Max Tooley has a team-high 26 total tackles while BYU’s whole unit has combined for 5 sacks and a pair of interceptions.

Wyoming is 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a win. BYU is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a loss and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games against a team with a winning road record while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but I’m leaning towards BYU here. It may sound crazy considering the beating that BYU took last week, but the Cougars haven’t really played a bad team this season and that includes their romp over USF in their opener. Wyoming’s been solid lately themselves, but Tulsa couldn’t stop anything in that game and the option offense just was not working at all for Air Force last week. I think BYU’s going to be too much for Wyoming to handle so I’ll lean towards laying the points here.
